Her main research focused on developing analogs of a protein, Interleukin-2 and studying the effects it had on specific cells within the immune system. She went on to study veterinary medicine at the University of Wisconsin and graduated in 2001. This is where she met Dr. Roger Fleming and following graduation, they relocated to Vermont and practiced at a small animal clinic. Other places they have enjoyed living and working include Sanibel Island, FL and northern Wisconsin. Moving to Kalispell has been a dream following several visits to the area over the last decade.

In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, gardening, and cross-country skiing.
